Recently, the compensator of Lhasa converter station in Tibet has been successfully started. This project is the first compensator in Tibet, and it is also regarded as a landmark project for Pearl Electric’s excitation transformer to enter the converter station compensator application for the first time.
Lhasa Converter Station
Lhasa converter station is the terminal of Qinghai-Tibet AC / DC interconnection project. Its successful completion and operation will realize the interconnection of Tibet power grid and national power grid, and fundamentally solve the problem of power shortage in Tibet. At the same time, Lhasa converter station with an altitude of 3800 meters has the worst environmental factors of high altitude, low temperature, dry and complex climate, which is the highest altitude and the most difficult construction environment in the world.
Under the difficult environment condition of this project, it comes out more challenges and requirement for Pearl Electric’s technology and production. Pearl Electric will bravely take the challenges to face the difficulties in design and production as we always do. We will strictly control and implement the project from the aspect of safety, quality, progress and others to ensure the high quality of products which will be delivered on time. Pearl Electric will continue to insist the company values of "innovation, service and responsibility" with practical actions.
