Shell has recently selected Singapore-based company Penguin International Limited to design, build, and operate at least three fully-electric ferries, marking the first fully-electric ferry service in Singapore and a global first for Shell. 

Pearl Electric is proud to be partnering with Penguin International Limited as the supplier of compact substation transformers for this groundbreaking project.

The installation of Pearl Electric offshore charging compact substations has been completed at the Singapore shipyard. These substations will be used for offshore charging, which is for Singapore's first fully-electric ferry service in 2023.
