Congratulation to Dr.Daniel Finished Research Project In Post-Doctoral Workstation

On January 10, Pearl Electric held a post-doctoral research project report meeting. With the witness of the leaders of Panyu District human resources and Social Security Bureau and Panyu District Office of National Post-Doctor Regulatory Commission, a provisional evaluation committee is formed to conducted a comprehensive review of the research project in post-doctoral workstation conducted by Dr. Daniel L. Mon-Nzongo who was jointly recruited by Pearl Electric and Fuzhou University. The committee is composed of experts from Sun Yat-Sen University, South China University of technology, Guangdong University of technology, Electric Power Science Institute of Guangdong Power Grid Co., Ltd., and Midea Group Central Research Institute. Pearl Electric’s chief engineer, Tang Jinquan, chief engineer of the dry transformer, Mao Qiwu, and the main members of the project team are also participated in the meeting.
At the meeting, Dr. Daniel gave a detailed report on " Future Railway System On-Board Power Supply Based On Advanced Topology Of Neutral Point Clamp Converter " to the leaders and experts, and also responded to the technical issue raised by the members of the review committee. After inspection, questioning, review of relevant data and serious discussion, the review committee agreed that the subject has studied various topology structures of power electronic transformer (PET) and energy router (ER) in-depth according to the characteristics of power supply system in railway station. A new power electronic transformer topologies such as three-level active neutral point clamp and NPP type converter are also proposed, which are suitable for railway applications.
During the implementation of the research project, Dr.Daniel applied for 4 invention patents, published 7 technical papers, and developed a 270 KVA, 1.5 kV, 630 / 440 V vehicle auxiliary power supply system prototype. The members of the review committee confirmed that Dr. Daniel has been earnestly and rigorously in academic research, has mastered solid theoretical knowledge of his profession, and has the ability to independently engage in scientific research. They unanimously agreed that Dr. Daniel passed the review and defended and gave him an "excellent" evaluation.
