Pearl Breaks Through in the Manufacturing Industry with 'Water-Cooled Dry-Type Transformer,' Secures Multiple Patents and International Recognition

The scientific achievement appraisal meeting for the project "Efficient Cooling Water Internal Dry-type Transformer Research and Industrialization," organized by the Guangdong Mechanical Engineering Society, was grandly held at Pearl Electric. The meeting was presided over by Professor Liu Yihua, the Executive Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the Guangdong Mechanical Engineering Society. The appraisal committee, composed of experts from South China University of Technology and the China Electric Power Research Institute, listened to the project development team's summary of research and development work, reviewed technical research reports, examined submitted documents for appraisal, and conducted on-site inspections.

After questioning and discussion, the appraisal committee unanimously agreed that the overall technical level of the project's products is at an international advanced level. Specifically, the design methods, structures, and processes of water-cooled dry-type transformers are leading internationally. The committee approved the technological achievements through the scientific appraisal. The project received high praise from the expert committee, once again highlighting Pearl Electric's research and manufacturing technology for dry-type transformers at an international advanced level.

The project "Efficient Cooling Water Internal Dry-type Transformer Research and Industrialization" proposes a novel water self-balancing calculation method through comprehensive research on the relationship between the temperature rise, losses, flow rate, pipe pressure drop, pipe diameter, and pipe length of each winding branch. The research on water insulation performance led to the design of an innovative water system, effectively addressing key technical challenges related to external insulation performance and external partial discharge. Concerning the structural characteristics of the water-cooled dry-type transformer windings, the research on pouring methods prevented winding cracking and resin leakage.

During the implementation of the project, four invention patents were applied for, two invention patents and five utility model patents have been authorized, and three technical papers have been published in the "Transformer" magazine. The project has independent intellectual property rights and strong innovativeness. Its technological achievements have a competitive advantage compared to similar technologies domestically and internationally, breaking the monopoly of foreign technologies. The project successfully resolved the bottleneck issue in related foreign equipment, further enhancing Mingzhu Electric's innovation capability and technical strength.
